AJ Connors
AJ (she/her) has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for 15 years, initially turning to yoga for relief from chronic pain after a life-changing car accident. What began as a physical practice to ease her body soon grew into a deeper connection with her mind and emotions, helping her navigate early life challenges. Yoga became a path of transformation and exploration, fueling her passion as both a lifelong student and an explorer of the inner and outer worlds.
AJ studied various traditions before finding her home in the Hatha lineage, drawn to its focus on balancing the sun and moon energies. She leads her classes with compassion and respect for each individual’s journey, offering personalized practices that support all abilities and preferences. Since beginning her yoga therapy training at Kripalu in 2019, her teaching style has evolved to honor each person’s unique phase of life. Specializing in healthy aging, AJ uses therapeutic yoga and Ayurvedic education to promote resilience and well-being. She believes that therapeutic techniques are an embodied right for all, creating space for exploration and supporting communities in their journey of discovery.
Recently relocating from Southern Colorado, AJ and her fiancé have settled in Sebastopol with their two dogs. They enjoy exploring the area's abundant outdoor activities and share a deep appreciation for the redwoods. Her love for community has been further enriched by the warm and welcoming spirit of Sonoma County.
